The ITV Rugby World Cup Title Sequence.
I was responsible for all aspects of all animation in this project. With multiple rotoscoped player animations, background animations, and compositing, this was a challenging but massively rewarding project I was fortunate enough to play a key role in.
Development and production lasted several months as we also designed the live set and numerous animated aspects for that too. (please see the set design page for more details)
I also came up with and developed the initial concept and storyboards. I selected the footage to use and rotoscope, from a vast archive of previous World Cups.
I loved everything about this vast project, from the creative freedom we were allowed as an agency to seeing the final result broadcast to millions of people daily.
